Ipswich Art Society Inc (Qld) is a not for profit organisation which is an important part of Ipswich's vibrant and growing arts community. We welcome everyone from beginners to emerging or experienced artists.
2014 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: MONICA BORZU-BUCIU
Members of the Ipswich Art Society,
On behalf of myself and the committee I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!
It is our desire in 2014 to harness our strengths as a society and create a new vision for the future. As a community, we have an opportunity to participate in many varied aspects of artistic endeavour. Our membership has grown and the collective skills of our more experienced artists would greatly benefit those with less experience, helping create a strong unified group of like-minded people. This unity can be our strength as we move forward into 2014, and we will all be beneficiaries of the rewards.
The Ipswich Art society Exhibition held at the Old Court House Gallery (opened 6/12/13) was a great success! We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Cr. Charlie Pisasale (Ipswich Councillor for Arts and Cultural Services) for opening our exhibition and for his kind words of encouragement.
As a society we depend on the volunteering efforts of our members for a successful outcome of our endeavours, extending our thanks to all who participated in some way to our Exhibition’s success.
The committee and I thank you for your help with our 2013 Exhibition and the trust you have placed in us to manage the interests of the IAS in 2014. We encourage suggestions regarding ways we can work together as an artistic society to not only build strong bonds and support within our membership, but to create a fresh and exciting profile for the community at large.
